Choosing the right mattress for our bed is a very important process that directly affects our health. A proper and anatomical mattress offers us rest, relaxation and a pleasant sleep, things that are especially necessary for the proper functioning of our body. A proper mattress is not a luxury or an exit that we must avoid but a necessity.

The most classic way to choose the right mattress for us is to try it before we buy it. So do not hesitate to lie on it for as long as it takes to be absolutely sure of your purchase, trying different postures. It is advisable to make sure that the mattress is not too hard, but not too soft. In fact, some good criteria to see this beyond the general feeling it offers us, is whether when we lie on our backs the gap in the curve of the waist fills with our mattress and if while lying on it for a few minutes it numbs a spot of our body.

In the market we can find a wide variety of mattresses from very economical to very expensive. Unfortunately, very cheap ones do not always guarantee durability while they can be made of synthetic materials that do not allow air to circulate, making them unhealthy.

The most common layers are those with springs and those with memory foam. Spring mattresses need more care in their maintenance as it is good not to stand on them or jump on them, while we must turn them about every six months so as not to make potholes.
